The addition will add 18,000 square feet of new construction to the back of the building while preserving the existing exterior. The core towers, which include elevators, fire stairs, and restrooms, account for half of the total square footage. The additional 9,000 square feet will be used for key programs such as review rooms, galleries, teacher offices, and shop development. The number of classrooms is growing, and students, professors, and the general public will gravitate toward the new, inventive lecture hall.
